Afrofuturism is an African-American and African diaspora subculture whose
thinkers and artists see technology and science-fiction as a means of exploring
the black experience and finding new strategies to overcome racism and classism.
The type is treated to represent the depth and mass of African and African-American
history on this earth. Imagery is created from very current NASA photography
of the Sirius star system—an important part of an early African culture
known as the Dogon. The Dogon tribe of West Africa—perhaps the first Afrofuturists—have
a very complex system of beliefs based on extraterrestrial phenomena and ideas
of duality. Go here
